How I serve
Limited & Effective Government
Government in our country was formed, not with written limitations, but written responsibilities! This is very important and purposeful. At each level, a governing body is granted a few authorities that it is responsible for. Imagine if a government constitution was written to limit that government from doing certain things. That would imply that everything else can be legislated. Instead, our brilliant founders saw it wise to grant certain power and authority TO our government, by implication, leaving everything else to the free people! See the 9th and 10th amendments to the US constitution for an expressed statement on this.
As we get lower into the local county government, there is a need to make decisions and laws concerning more local issues, as it should be. We do NOT want local decisions made by a distant bureaucracy! I will always vote to remove overbearing regulations and unnecessary laws! I will seek to apply this brilliant principle of LIMITED GOVERNMENT to our local county legislature!
Core Values
What I Stand For
Parents freedom to control their childrens education
God has established family as the building block of society. In most cases, parents know what is best for their children and our policy as a county government must reflect that! Historically, as we have empowered families, we thrive as a community.
I will seek to restore power to local school boards where parents can have the most input into their child’s education. I will seek to eliminate overreaching power grabs that mandate quarantines! I will pursue laws that are favorable to private schools and homeschooling. I will also look to overturn bad laws that make these freedoms difficult. Our children and families are our future! I want our children and grandchildren to be great and to have great opportunities!
Fiscally conservative, providing opportunity for all who pursue it
Our country was founded on hard work and wise money management and I believe that those are still important today! If you take the time to study our founders, you will find that almost without exception, they were very disciplined people. One such example is Benjamin Franklin. Continually obsessed with self-betterment, Franklin consents “to the bold and arduous project of arriving at Moral Perfection.” He creates a list of 13 virtues that are, in order: Temperance, Silence, Order, Resolution, Frugality, Industry, Sincerity, Justice, Moderation, Cleanliness, Tranquility, Chastity, and Humility. He sets about creating a weekly plan by which he will develop one virtue per week, eventually perfecting them all. Another example is John Adams, who spoke English, French and Latin. He was also able to speak Dutch and got himself appointed ambassador to the Netherlands in 1794, the year he turned 27. These men built what we have today on character and wise money management!
I will seek to find and eliminate wasteful spending in our county budget. I will vote to create financial stability in St. Charles County that opens more opportunities for financial success for those that are willing to work to pursue it! We do NOT need more tax increases! Only better management of the money we send to our government! I believe that money is best used by the people and will seek to limit unnecessary taxation, putting more money in the hands of our citizens!
Voting Integrity
A democracy is a government that is ruled by the people, but since everyone can’t be at government meetings to vote, we elect representatives. We have a Representative Republic type of government. We vote to elect those who represent US! This is a foundational concept that must have integrity! Without fair elections, we have lost everything that has been fought for!
As your county representative, I will seek to ensure fair elections wherever the opportunity arises! Each county in our great nation must ensure that the election process is unable to be manipulated by groups that have agendas. I pledge to make this an issue that I never forget. Our county MUST have accurate and free elections!
2nd amendment protection
The right to bear arms is historically essential to our country! This concept exists to both protect ourselves from a tyrannical government takeover and all enemies domestic and abroad. An armed population is a stable and free population!
I will vote to maintain this freedom for our local citizens. While most of the limiting regulations come from a state and federal level, we must stay alert to our gun freedom in local policy! I will stand FOR 2nd amendment gun rights whenever the opportunity arises.
Freedom of Religion
The first amendment to the US Constitution states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”. This means that there can never be an official government church; they must all be private entities. Over the years the statement that Thomas Jefferson penned mentioning the separation of church and state has gotten misapplied. First, that statement is not in the US Constitution anywhere! Second, it doesn’t mean that religion and politics are two separate entities that can’t intersect. Often, people interpret Jefferson’s use of the phrase “separation of church and state” to mean that religion shouldn’t influence one’s political decisions or that religion should not impact the views of those in office. This simply is NOT true! The First Amendment actually says that we can all freely exercise our religion and government can NOT tell us not to!
Locally, this principle can play out in our schools, parks, discrimination laws, etc. We need to stay awake to the threat to our religious freedom. I will seek to protect the people of St. Charles County from both direct and indirect attacks on our religious freedoms!

What i’ve been up to
My Story
I am a fourth generation St Louis small business owner. My great-grandfather immigrated here in 1920, and we have been here since! In 1991 I married my wife LynDelle and moved to St Charles County soon after. We have been married for over 30 years now and have six amazing children that are all very different from one another and are an amazing display of God’s image! Two of our children are married and we have two fun granddaughters that we enjoy!
I have always kept an eye on politics, but in recent years I have become increasingly concerned about the erosion of our freedom. Over the years I have often thought that getting involved in politics could be helpful, but never thought the timing was right. In January of 2021, I was in Washington DC for the Trump rally and saw some things that changed my thinking. I saw how the media mischaracterized what we were there for and misrepresented the numbers that were there. Upon returning from that trip I decided that when I got the chance I was going to run for our County Council representative seat. I look forward to representing the people of St Charles County with a voice for freedom and responsibility of the individual citizens. I want to maintain and promote limited government in St Charles County that can be a model for all to see and admire!
My desire is to cause other counties to follow in what we’re doing and provide a bit of a revival across our nation that will make our country strong and stable for generations to come.
